Place to visit

Hunting Castle of Stupinigi

Within 3 km from our B&B lies the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi, a real masterpiece of baroque, built for the Royal Family of Savoia in 1729, during the reign of Vittorio Amedeo II, with the function of summer residence and hunting palace, on the model of the royal palace of Versailles. Today it houses the Furnishing museum, and many art exhibitions.

Juventus center

The brand new training center and fields by Juventus Football Club is located just 4 km from B&B La Braida. You can reach it by bus, by shuttle service or with one of the free bycicles we have at disposal for our guests.

Sacra di San Michele

Less than 20 km from Vinovo you'll find the Sacra di San Michele: a real symbol of all Piemonte, a wonderful medieval abbey used in the centuries as a meeting point for the French and British pilgrims to Rome and Jerusalem, and as a monastry for the benedectine monks before and the rosminian fathers after. Many local legends whisper about demons, angels, cruisaders and ghosts wandering around the abbey.

Langhe and Roero hills

Nearly half an hour from Vinovo, any lover of good dishes and wines can't miss the chance to visit the hills around the cities of Alba and Bra: lands and hills riches of astonishing landscape, history, flavours and tastes. Barolo and barbaresco wines are the most known products in the region, commerced all over the world, but there are treasures that can not be commerced, though they can be admired: the landscape, the relax, the fragrance of old times...

Torino: history, arts, culture and fun

Torino, capital of Piemonte, is the fourth populated city in Italy, after Rome, Milan and Naples, with its 980.000 inhabitants. Traditionally connected and associated with the industrial productions and with FIAT, for more than 10 years ago it had to become emancipated from this cliché, also because of the big crisis of FIAT industries. It happened so that Torino re-discovered its historical beauties, as the Hunting palace of Stupinigi, the Cathedral of San Giovanni, the well-known Mole Antonelliana. The inhabitants of Torino also knew a rebirth of cultural and artistic meetings, a new interest in the city by the cinema directors, and now tries to focus the attention of the international public with the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Still concerning sports, we have to underline the 2 football teams of the city, the big Juventus F.C. and the cousins of Torino F.C. The reinassance of Torino passes also by the creation of big "enternainment poles", as the Murazzi, along the river Po.
